Research, Design, and Fabrication of Experimental Teaching Equipment for Determining the Center of Hydrostatic Pressure on a Flat Surface

Apparatus for determining the center of pressure in a hydrostatic context is currently common in hydraulics laboratories worldwide, designed and manufactured by companies in countries such as the UK, the Netherlands, India, and—closest to us—Thailand. Although these units vary in design, they are all based on the theoretical principles of hydrostatic pressure acting on plane and curved surfaces.
